" : .-...■ DUNBDIN, this day. : During the past five years £30,620 (exclusive of Government grants) has been handed over to ; the Otago University Council as gifts for the advancement of liniversity work. . 1 One item of the £30,620 obtained was the Evening Star's collection of publio subscriptions, for the extinction of the floating debt, earned a subsidy of £1650 from the Government. The late Mr Bayerley's bequest is estimated to be worth £15,300. -
