In a caso brought by the Inspector of Factories against Webster, m which husband and wife carried on premises as fruiterer and florist respectively, the husband being charged with failing to close on the statutory half-holiday, the Bench dismissed the charge, holding that it was competent for two businesses to be carried on m the same premises, "when the florist observed a holiday the fruiterer being exempt under the Shops Act. DUNEDIN, this day. Onions have .further advanced £1 per ton to-day. Potatoes have risen from £3 to £6. This week eggs and butter also show a disposition to be firm. Oatmeal rose last week £1. and is now £17.
