Interviewed m regard to Dr. Bakewell's statement to a Herald reporter, Dr. Chalmor Purchase absolutely denied that he had, after examination of Dr. Bake well, discovered, as allged by him, anything ia the way of a cancerous growth, whicii according to Dr. Bakewell was subsequently cured by hypnotic suggestion. In the Supreme Court to-day Sarah Selina Westney, of Opotiki, sued Francis J. Hahn, of Auckland, for an injunction, or £200 damages. 'Die case was a somewhat unusual one. Plaintiif is the owner of an allotment m Auckland, on which is erected a dwelling with windows on the, southern side. After considerable evidence, Mr Banford applied for a nonsuit upon the ground that plaintiff had failed to proved her right to access and use of light, and the case was adjourned for argument on the points raised. Tho case was unfinished when the Court rose. , , , INVERCARGILL, last night. Tlie list of cases for the criminal sitting of the Supreme Court, commencing on Tuesday, is very light. Frank' Coutts and Martin Campbell will be charged with attempting to dissuade a witness from giving evidence m a licensing case, and Stanley Gill with committing perjury m m ajfiliatiop case. ,
