(From our Parliariientary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. ..", Tlie Waiapu deputation, comprising Messrs A. B. Williams (Chairman of the County Council), K. & Williams/ and H. DeLautour, waited on. the Hon! Mr Car-/ roll to impress upon him the necessity for . a bridge across the dangerous' Waiapu river. '.' .' . ".,-■ The Minister assured the deputation he was doing hisr best'to secure a grant for the work. -•'■ '7. ' The deputation also waited on Mr Kensington, Under-Secretary for Lands, and Mr Hursthouee, Chief Engineer .of Works, m respect of other local matters."
