WEATHER REPORT.
The thermometer readings at 9 a.m. this day were: —
Capt. Edwin forecasted at 9 this morning: "South-easterly, strong winds to '. gale; glass fall; tides very, high, sea heavy; rain, probably heavy": rivers very high.' East Cape reported at 9 this morning : Fresh breeze from east ; barometer 30.01, thermometer 52; high tide; passing showers.; heavy sea. East Cape and Cape Campbell were the only stations reporting lveavy weather today, with a lumpy sea at Cape Egmont and Wanganui ; elsewhere smooth to modsr rate. Napier reported rain, as also did Nelson and Farewell Spit. At most other places the sky yas overcast with clouds.
