Unrest m Ireland is increasing.

A political demonstration- reminiscent of Land League times was made on Sunday at. the Ardagh Roman Catholic Chapel; near Ballina, Co.' Mayo, against a farmer named Patrick- Keane.

The Nationalists had announced a demonstration, but the Orangemen brganis: ed a counter meeting, and took possession of the town. A not ensued, and the police charged the opposing factions with batons. Missiles of alrkiuds were thrown and many of the police were injured.
