At the marine enquiry into Hie wreck ! of the Easby, Captain Wallace testified j that he instructed the second male to call him when Everard light was abeam. The mate did so, but as he had had very little sleep for three days, ho must have dozed. off again. The next thing he knew was that the vessel was bumping. He -ltad been coniiuuously on duty for 22 hours'. Masters, the second mate, said he called the captain, but told him they were five miles off the light. He afterwards found that he liad made a mistake. (Received May 2, 9.53 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 2. The Board of Control has submitted the Marylebone Club a list of fixtures for the next English tour. It • includes five test matches, the first to be played at Sydney on December 13th. Otbef : matches are: Melbourne, January.
