A new .use for liquid ajr has been found m its application to rescue work m mines. An. apparatus weighing bnly : 14 lbs. has been devised, which can be carried on the back, and which gives 'a supply of absolutely pure air for about three hours. AN though thus associated with collieries, it is probable that liquid air might be utilised m the same way for fire brigade service.
