(Special to Herald.) f NAPIER, this day. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the fol.owing cable from their London office : The wool sales opened with an indifferent selection. There was a large attendance of buyers. Competition was fairly animated. So far hardly any merinos have been offered. As compared with the closing ratQf of last series merinos and fine orossbreds-are unchanged. For greasy, medium, and coarse crossbred wools and greasy wools m light condition, prices are 5 per cent, lower.. For" heavy, greasy, shabby, and dingy wools prices are lower from 5 ttv 7£o v 7£ per cent. *
