(Press Assn.— By. Telegraph.— Copyright.) (Received May 1, 10.58 a.m.) LONDON,. April 30. The wool sales have Opened. Prices ranged from pax to al_ per* cent, decline. (Special to Herald.) NAPIER, this day. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. . have received the following cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co. : "London, April 30th: The sales have opened with an average attendance of buyers. There was fair competition. Excluding the descriptions > hereinafter specially quoted, the market shows no material change. Crossbred declined 5 per cent. . Wasty aud inferior descriptions show the^greatest decline."

Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., have received the following cable from their ~~**f~' London agents m connection with .the wool sales commencing on the 30th April : "Fine wools unchanged, coarse 5 to 1_ per cent lower." The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. have received the following cable from their London office under to-day's date:— Sales opened with spirit. As compared with last sale's closing rates, prices are about par to 5 per cent, lower for coarse crossbreds and tine crossbred j about 5 per cent, to 7£ jier cent, lo.ycr for medium crossbred.
