ROBBERY AT A POST OFFICE.
£350 WORTH OF POSTAL ORDERS STOLEN. LONDON, March 15. A daring robbery was committed at the Upper Baker-street Post Office, W., last evening. I At the hour of closing the office — 8.30— a respectably dressed man, about | forty-five years of age, entered und asked for a stamp. Noticing that one of the assistants was engaged m settling up accounts for the day, and that, she had m her hand a large number oi postal orders, he leaned over the counter, snatched the bundle from her grasp and dashed out of the office. The orders were of the face value of £350. • There were three persons m the office at the time, but neither they nor the assistants 'behind the counter realised what had happened, for the moment.
