Tlie much-expected bookß relating to Mrs Willis' business were not found.

They stated they were unable to throw light on the disappearance of the books, though the accountant for the safe deposit deposed that the box was much lighter after they and Mrs Willis had it open just before Willis left Sydney. Willis' box was subsequently brought from the safe deposit. It contained only heirlooms in tlie shape of a sovereign and brooch.
There was considerable excitement in Court- while tlie opening was proceeding.
