Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their sale of -wool, sheepskins, .etc., held on Friday, 9th iust: — "The usual number of Northern and Southern buyers were present, and, stimulated by local demand, bidduig was particularly brisk, an 4 prices, which may be counted records for. the Bay, were obtained. For. fleece wool we. obtained 8d to 9d, .the former for dingy crossbred ajid the latter for bright, clean long wool. Pieces made from sid to 6d, locks 3sd, dead 7d, crutchings 4|d, and a reduction of about Id for oddments m sacks. Skins were eagerly competed for, and for all fair wool lots, with good pelts, from 6id to 7£d was obtained. Poorer lots mode from 4d to s|d. Station hides made from 3d to 4d per lb, according to quality and condition. Oddments of tallow 17s 9d per cwt. It was altogether an excellent sale. Our catalogue comprised '47 bales and 49 bags wool, . 981 sheepskins, 33 hides,, and 9 packages tallow.
