East Cape reported this morning a fresh S.W. breeze, cloudy sky, moderate sea.
Westerly and S.W. winds prevailed m the North Island to-dlay, and N.E. generally m the South Island. The weather was fine, except m Canterbury and Otago. Frosts were experienced 1 at Cambridge, Tauranga, Napier, Bealey, Clyde, . and Balclutha. Moderate seas were running at Auckland, Cape Egmont and Hokitika.
