WAIPIRO HOSPITAL BALL.
A largely-attended Hospital ball was held on Wednesday night m the new Waipiro store, kindly lent for the occasion by Mr A. B. Williams. The floor was m excellent order. Splendid music was supplied by the Waipiro orchestra. The catering was m the hands of Mr Cabc, and was carried out m a first-class manner. About 60 couples were present, and dancing was kept \ip with great vigor till 2 o'clock. All parts of the district were represented', including a number from Awanui, Tuparoa. and .Tokomaru. All thoroughly enjoyed the evening. A sum of £10 was netted for the new Hospital, plans for which are being prepared "by Mr Rounthwaite, of Wellington. At a meeting of the Ball Committee on Saturday night it was decided tliat tho balance- of £10 from the dance be handed over to the Trustees of the Hospital.
