Messi's Mitchell (Bros., of Lamingunya Creek (Victoria), had a strange experience with a snake m some hay which they were cutting into chaff. After the reptile had made several attempts to bite and escape^ they finally succeeded m, passing it through the machine, which quickly i*educed it to half-inch lengths.
