Hickson, b Thompson 20; Riohai-dson (not out) 11. Hickson was butting very steadily when he unfortunately dragged the ball on to the wicket. Later. — Richardson, lbw, b Burnup 19 ; Gome, not out, 19 ; extra, 1 ; total for two wickets 59. The luncheon adjourn* men was then taken. At 2.40 the score was five wickets for 100. Gore, b Thompson 23 ; Tucker, b Hargreuve 8 ; Williams, b Thompson 2 ; Mahoney, not out. 23. Wellington all out for 140.
