BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

(Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night. The bowling tournament was continued to-day m magnificent weather, and the only sensational feature was the defeat of Palmerston by the Upper Plains team, v Masterton combination considered quite out of the running, and .which was defeated later on m the day by Dannevirke by no less than 25 to 14. Several good games were played during the day, but there was nothing of a sensational character. Newmarket is leading with 9 wins 1 loss; PuJmerstoii ■ and Napier having 8 wins and 2 losses ; Wellington, 8 and 3 ; Masterton. Hastings;, and Victoria, 7 and 3 ; Xvw Plymouth and Wanganui, 7 und 4.
