The new ketch Coronation (Captain Niumstn) arrived from Auckland at 5 p.m. yesterday, and was brought into the harbor this morning. The Coronation was built at Sydney and launched a couple of months ago. She is owned by Captain Niuinan and Mr Vincent, of Auckland, and this is her first trip down the coast. Leaving Auckland on Sunday forenoon, a westerly wind was expei'ienced to-the Cape, changing to a breeze from the south-west from thence to Gisborne. The Coronation brings 37,000 ft of timber, chiefly for Messrs Mackrell and Colley and Mr Wood, 30 tons of coal for Clayton Bros., and 60 tons of general merchandise. The schooner Waiapu arrived from Tolaga Bay and Pakarae at 5 this morning. She brought 200 bales of wool from Pakarae for transhipment to the steamer Xiwai-u, and 200 bales from Tolaga Bay for the steamer Maori. Her cargo also included 100 returned cases and'casks. The Aotea was at Tolaga Bay on Sunday discharging cargo. Captain Skinner, on completing his work there, intended to proceed to Tokomaru to load wool for Gisborne. " The.s.B. Hawtea'leaves the Bluff next Wednesday, and calls at Oamaru, Timaru, Napier and Gisbprne. The s.s. Mokoia, leaving for South this evening, proceeds as far as Dunedin. She returns North again, leaving here Saturday, 24th, and tranships to tine Mararoa at Auckland for Sydney. The Mokoia then returns South, leaving here a day ahead of time, Tuesday 27th, and proceeds as far. as Lyttelton only. The s.s. Aparima left Calcutta on 4th . January for Singapore, Samarang, and New Zealand She is due at Auckland about the 2nd February, and calls at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. Ihe s.s. Monowai, leaving Bluff for Melbourne on 23rd February, and the Warrimof) on the 3rd March, will call at JUilford Sound. No calls will be made coming from Melbourne this year.
