The weather was hue, and the given, which was dull at the commencement of the game, is now rapidly improving. The results are: — New Plymouth 23 v. Petone 11. Pnlmerslon 27 v. Feildhi" 25. Waverly 20 v. Stratford 14. Gisborne 23 v. Auckland 10. Thorndon 41 v. Upper Plains 13. Hastings 23 v. Whataupoko 8. Newmarket 19 v. Hawera 14. Wellington 24 v. Kaiti 17. Newton 29 v. Carterton 8. Miisterton. 21 v. Pa tea 8. Wanganui 18 v. Ponsonby 17. Napier 25 v. Pahiatua 22. In the second round Victoria and Dannevirke drew byes. In the third round the results were: — Palmerston 22 v. Newton 17. Pomsonby 28 v. Dannevirke 18. Feilding 20 v. Wanganui 17. Carterton 22 v. Tliorndon 13. Napier 20 v. Patea 9. New Plymouth 23 v. Hawera 12. Gisborne 26 v. Upper Plains 13. Newmarktit 27 v. Masterton 19. Hastings 28 v. Auckland 12. Waverly 24 v. Kaiti 16. Wellington 22 v. Pahiatua 19. Victoria 25 v. Petoanj 13. (Special to Herald.) The Whataupokos are much disgusted at tllie new rink and tlie bad wind. Gisborne had a very easy win. Kaiti . are not discouraged, and hope for more luck and plenty of tea, for the skip.
