(Per Press Association.) NELSON, this day. Mr S. P. Stevens, Postmaster at the Tliames, has been appointed Postmaster at Nelson, vice Mr H. Calders, who retires on a xiension. Other changes are contemplated. 3UNEDIN, this day. The Evening Star has given £50 to the Otago University, and has also opened a subscription list, and has received £450 within a week.
