' The third monthly competition of the Poverty Bay Golf Club was played last week, and resulted in a close finish, the "Colonel" holding his own well. Messrs Reynolds, Willock, and Haora, lying each 4 down, will have-to play off on Saturday next. Mesdames Carmichael and Morgan kindly provided afternoon tea. The following cards were handed in: —
