(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. Cable advices from San Francisco state thatR.M.S. Ventura sailed for Auckland and Sydney via Honolulu and Pago Pago at 11 a.m. on Thursday, one hour behind time. The s.s. South Australia sailed for Sydney yesterday with 299,629 feet of sawn kauri, and also kohukohu and kahikatea. The barque Kinclune is loaded for Melbourne with 497,860 feet of sawn white pine, and sails with the first favorable wind. There was fine weather for People's Day at the Agricultural Show, and there was a very large attendance, estimated at 12,000. The judges spoke highly of the show, especially the horses, and the lady riders were highly praised. In sheep the judges considered the Romneys and Leicesters the features of the show. AUCKLAND, this day. Arrived, Ovalau, from the Islands, and Fiona, from Fiji. News from Raratonga shows that the total exports for the September quarter are £5971. New Zealand contributed £4968. The import* from New Zealand were £9373, New South Wales £326, Victoria £332, Tahiti £902, Northern. Islands £33, San Francisco £5; total, £10,971. Obituary: Mr James Park, mauager of the Onehunga Woollen ' Mills, and Mr Adam Cairns, City Councillor, and for some years licensee, of the Star Hotel. Daniel Dosseter was fined £5 at, the Magistrate's Court to-day for having falsely pretended to be a doctor of medicine, and £1 for distributing circulars contrary to the Offensive Publications Act. A cablegram from Capetown states that Lieutenant Joyce and three of the New Zealand Mounted Infantry sailed on November 14th. by the Wilcannia for Wellington via Sydney. CHRISTCHURCH, thia day. In the 'divorce case, Livingstone- v. Livingstone, m the Supreme Court this morning, the solicitor for the respondent stated that he bad been instructed to raise tho defence of collusion. Defendant, however, would admit adultery. The Judge said he would allow the defence to be filed, as he i thought it was unique, but it was a most extraordinary one, and he had grave doubts if collusion could be proved under the circumstances. It was the first case of the kind he had ever heard of.
