PAT AND AUOHAEL. Two Irishmen were one day crossing a bridge when they saw a notice to this effect: "Anyone saving a life will receive a pound, and anyone recovering a dead body ten shillings." * Says Pat to Alichael, "We ought to make a little money out of this. 101 l m, and I'll pull'you out," -_ "All right," says Alichael, and he fell m. After Pat making a couple of attempts to drag him out, he heard a voice from the water calling out, "Look here ! if you aren't sharp about it we'll have only ten shillings to get."
