.. « (Per Press Association.) Auckland, this day. Mr W. Crowther, member for the city, died yesterday of cancer in the stomach. [Mr Crowtlier was a well-known Auckland citizen. He occupied the position of Mayor for a number of years before seeking Parliamentary honors. He was the founder of one of the largest livery stable businesses in Auckland. Bluff and outspoken in his utterances, his sturdy independence and honesty of intention won the good opinion of all. He leaves a widow and large family.]
