FIFTEEN MORE MEN TO GO FROM GISBORNE. The Gisborne contingent committee have applied to the Government for space for fifteen men from this district in tho fourth contingent. No lack of offers have been received, and the volunteers in almost every case are prepared to find their own horses. The committee will have to find money to provide for the men's kits, outfits, etc. It ia understood that the Government will defray the cost of transport. The Committee paid £50 per man to the Government on account of the cost of equipping the ten men sent in the third contingent, and it is not yet known whether that amount is sufficient to meet all expenses. The amouut to the credit of the Gisborne more men fund was originally about £900, and it is expected that there will be a substantial balance to go towards the cost of equipping the number of the fourth contingent if one is sent.

The Mayor to-day received a telegram from the Premier stating that the fifteen men applied for on behalf of Gisborne will be accepted. Steps will be immediately taken to prepare for the selection of the men.
