COLONIAL NAVAL RESERVE.
London, Feb. 24. The Admiralty intends to coal the fleet more freely in the colonies. Mr Goschen stated that he was awaiting the establishment of Australian federation and a central authority, hoping then to arrange a system of colonial naval reserve.
London, Feb. 24. Private W. E. Smith, of the South Australian contingent, was killed at Arundel on the 2lßt. Lieutenant Wall, of Sydney, has accepted a lieutenancy in the Imperial Yeomanry.
