THE MAORI ELECTION.
Complete returns for the Maori eleotion place Mr Wi Pere at the head of the poll with a substantial majority. The following returns have been received since yesterday afternoon:—
Hicks Bay, Maungapohatu, and Tokonu returns to come. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, this day. Hone Heke was elected by a large majority. Chiiistchuboh, This day. Parata was elected by 372 votes to Hape's 214. There are two small returns to come, bnt they cannot aft'ect the result.
