It was further resolved that any competitors successful in both the Victoria College and Board examinations will have to ohooße which scholarships they will take up. A lengthy discussion took place on the motion to reduce the scholarship age. An amendment by Mr MoLernon tnafc the age remain as at present was carrier! on the casting vote of the Chairman..- ' . Gisborne was granted £20 tp'tar the grounds. Mr W. 0. Skeet's , tender for £379 was accepted for To Karaka School. Fresh tenders are to be called for the building of a master's house at Patutab). ; They evidently expeotalarge attendance at the Auokland races next week. .The 1 grandstand bar privileges sold for £214.-?
