METHUEN SHELLS THE ENEMY.
(Reoeived Deo. 18, 8.50 a.m.) - . Capetown, Dec. 17. Lord Methuenon Friday briefly shelled . the Boer entrenchments and outposts. ASSAULT OF MAFEKING REPULSED. A Boer assault of Mafeking on the 10th was repulsed. FIGHTING AT KURUMAN. After severe -fighting the loyalists and Beohuanas at Kuruman, Beohuanaland, repulsed the enemy.
