Centralisation was breaking down because Parliament had far more work than it could do. No good cause was shown for New Zealand joining Federation. He approved of the despatch of troops to the Transvaal. A vote of thanks and confidence was returned. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wairoa, This day.
