SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
The Union Co.'s s.s. Omapere (Captain Hutton) arrived from Auckland via coastal ports on Saturday at 8 p.m., and left for Napier, Wellington, and Westport at 10 p.m. Passengers -Inward : Mendaraea Oman, Ross and boy, Wilkm, Condon, and Christian; Messrs Simson, Graoe, and Davis. Outward • Mr Kirk. Th» Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. s new .teamer Kurnara, 6500 tons (Captain Scotland), arrived from Timaru on tsaturdav niaht late. The steamer commenced losing from the Gisborne Freezing Works this morning. She leaves for Napier late this evening. Messrs Common, Shelton, and Co. are the local agents. The Union Co.'s s.s. Tarawera (Captain Neville) arrived from Auckland yesterday afternoon, and left for Southern ports at 9 o'olock. Passengers — Inward : Mrs Charles and child ; Misses Andrew and Harvey ; Messrß Hamilton, Shera, Phipps, Winson, Kenway, and Saddler. Outward -. Mesdames Johnson, Cook, Sowry, King, and Morrison; Misses MoKegg, Cowan, Hutchison, Sowry, and Williams ; Messrs Sowry, Lusk, Benuett, Lowe, Baston, Burrows, and Davii. The Union Uo.'s s.s. Mapourika leaves Wellington this afternoon, and is due here on Wednesday morning. She sails for Auckland at 8 a.m. The Union Co.'s s.s. Waihora leaves Auckland to-morrow, and arrives here on Wednesday afternoon. She proceeds to Southern ports at 5 p.m. The schooner Aotea was at Tolago Bas on Friday last, but afterwards returned to Tokomaru. Th« Aotea evidently fell in with some of the heavy weather experienced on the coast during the week, as she is reported to have carried away her main booiu. The schooner is expected to arrive in Gisborne to-day or to-morrow. The scow Ngaru arrived from the Eaipara yesterday with a cargo of timber, to be ÜBed on the groyne extension works.
