SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
The Union Co.'s s.s. \Yaihi returned from Whangara at half-past 10 o'clock this morning. Messrs Richardson and Co.'s steamer Kalm arrived from Napier this niornin-!, bringing a quantity of material to lie used on the western groyne extension contract. The steamer returns to Napier at midday to-morrow with a load of wool. The Union Co.'s s.s. Te Anau leaves Napier this evening, and arrives here early to-morrow morning, proceeding to Auckland at 8 a.m. The Huddart-ParUer Co.'s s.s. Westralia left Auckland at 2.30 this afternoon, and arrives here to-morrow afternoon. She proceeds to Southern pint", .it ,"> p.m. The Union Co.'s s.s. Mokoia leaves Dunedin to-day, and arrives here on Saturday morning, sailing for Auckland and Sydney at 10 a.m. The Union Co.'s s.s. Kia Ora leaves Auckland this afternoon, and is expected to reach here via coastal ports on Saturday morning. The cutter Coralie has gone to Napier from Mahia for stores. The new steamer being built for Messrs Richardson and Co. in England for the East Coast trade is expected to leave for New Zealand about the end of May. She is to be named the Towa, and Captain Romerill, late of the Kalm, will bring her out.
