RULES AND CONDITIONS. 3 Entries close with either of the Secretaries, at the office of Messrs Sheridan and Gumming, or the Gisborne Hotel, on SAT- * URDAY, 11th March, 1899. Handicaps declared Monday, 13th March, 1899. All Amateur entries must bo made on the proper form and delivered to Mr R. Cole, Secretary A.A.C., on SATURDAY, 11th March, 1899. Entries for the following events, viz., Nos. 1, 2, 4, 7, 13, 15, and the Dancing Competitions, will bo received ou the Ground half-an-hour before the time of starting. , Any Competitor found guilty of sending -, in false performances, running under an assumed name, or practising any fraud, shall be disqualified. The Committee reserve the right to require any Competitor, either before or after any event, to make a declaration as to his identity and the , correctness of his description of his per- ' formances. The Committee may disqualify any Competitor, before or after any event, who shall refuse to make the required declaration, and he shall not be entitled to claim any prize.
