How to Reduce a Big Nose

A country gentleman possessed an olfactory organ of dimensions so enormous as to arouse the hilarity of his neighbors, and he was thcrefoie so much mortilied that be became almost melancholy, and appealed to Dr Joseph to deliver him from his alUiction. The superfluous skin and cartilages were accordingly removed by four incisions, which formed two angles, with the vertex iii the median line of the nose ; then the unduly prominent nasal hones were reduced with 'the chisel, and finally the bridge of the nose was shortened by excising a wedge-:-h:iped portion of bone.
