WHAT HAPPENED AT FASHODA.

Thk Sirdar : Major Marehand, I believa? Marchand : You've guessed it iirsfc time. Got a cigar? The Sirdar : With pleasure ! (Offers his case. ) Marehand (lighting cigar) : Thanks ; you haven't any brandy or wine you can spare, have you . The Sirdar : Yes. I shall be most pleased if you will accept a case of each. Marehand : Thanks awfully ; you see I can't get anything here worth drinking. The Sirdar : Anything else ? Marehand : Not at present.
