NICARAGUA CANAL.
PB (Electric Telegraph— Copyrisht— United Press f As=ocmtiou.) ' Washington, Jan. 23. The work of constructing the Nicaragua canal will occupy six years, and the cost will be 115,000,000 dollars, the money to be supplied by the Treasury. All nations will pay the same canal tolls. Neutrality will be guaranteed. President McKinley has been requested to secure an abrogation of the ClaytonBnlwer concession, and authorised to acquire another route if Nicaragua declines to grant suitable terms.
