It is expected that a Conference will be held in Berlin to settle the Samoan difficulty. German papers complain of the attitude of the British and American press towards Dr Rafl'el in the absence of adequate information. London', Jan. 22. It is believed that Germany will repudiate the action of her Consul at Samoa. Sydxi'.v, Jiui. 22. H.M.S. Royalist has hecn oidcied from New Zealand to Samoa. H.M.S. Ringdove has been ordered from Hobart to replace the Royalist in New Zealand waters.
