Captain Edwin wired this afternoon as follows :—" Wind strong from west to south-west and south at all places northward of Blenheim, and south-east and south-west winds elsewhere. Barometer rise everywhere. Sea considerable on all ■western coast and moderate on all eastern coast. Tides generally poor. Rain is probable generally."
