— » — (Before Mr J. Booth, S.M.) USDEFKS'DKD CASES. In the following undefended cases judgment was given for the plaintiff with costs. F. J. Oatnrlge (ilr Jones) v. Mrs Odium, claim £1 Ss 2d, ivitli costs 10s. May Strachun (MrDeLautour) v. Arthur Henry Norman, claim £7 Bs, and costs £1 7s 6d. Isabella Menzies v. James O'Dowd, claim £5 3s, with costs Ss. A. Keefer v. Prank Knowles, claim £5 Ms. The latter being a judgment summons case an order was made for immediate payment of the balance due, £2 Ss Id, or in default three days'imprisonment. , IIKIjGX CTOTrs V. XIKL ELAKEr.V. His Worship Rave judgment in this case, which had been heard on a previous Court day. The amount claimed was .£l2 Ss, and there was a connler claim amounting to £12 13s. The Magistrate found for plaintiff in the original action for £9 15s, with costs £1 lfis, and on the counter claim for plaintiff, for £6 4s, to he reduced to 4s on return of a chest held by Mrs Curtis, with costs £1 9s. Mr Jones appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Finn for the defendant. ROBERT KNOX V. PESB MATAOKA. Claim £G 13a 7cl, for tent of waggon. Mr Jonea appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Lysnar for the defendant. The defence was that the defendant had received the waggon from the plaintiff in very bad order, and had to make repairs to it before he could use it, evidence was given by the defendant-, Cyril White, station manager, and August Zinker, blacksmith. Judgment was given for the pUuntifffor £2 10s, with costs £2 7s. fSEO. HOW UHOW V. l-'RANK lIAURIS. Claim £5 6s for board and lodging. Mr R. N. Jones appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Nolan for the defendant. The case was proceeding when we went to press.
