Mrs Noonan, wife of a railway gatekeeper, «'rs burnt by the bush fires and died of her injuries. A man named McGovern who tried to rescue her was severely burnt, Phosphorised wheat caused a great, fire near Morunding, and 400 acres of produce were destroyed. The lire then swept over a dozen farms, burning the crops, fencing, grass, and buildings. SYDNEY. Jan. 11. The Government have sanctioned the despatch of sixty Lancers to Alderaliot for hix months' training, the cost to be borne by several well-known Australian residents in London. PERTH, Jan. 11. The Marine Court has suspended the I certiticate of the captain of the Sepia for nine months.
