Ho adds that at present they are at no great distance from the fatal place. Another mystery has been reported to the police. A fortnight before Christmas a boy named Hill, 15 years of age, left his parents' residence at Nundah, near Brisbane, to spend a few days with relatives. He never reached his destination. A few days since the lad's pony was discovered dead, with a bullet wound in the forehead ten miles from Brisbane. The horse lay among some bushy scrub, and near by were the remains of fire and several pieces of roasted flesh. These have been sub. milled to experts for examination for the purpose of determining whether they arc human flesh. The ' father of the lad is convinced that harm has been done to hia son, as he was not likely to leave home. The police are investigating.
