LONDON SENSATIONS.
FIRE AND BURGLARY. London, Nov. 1. A file destroyed the depot of Carter, I'aterson, and Co., carriers and forwarding agents, Clerkenwell, London. Five hundred horses belonging to the firm were rescued with difficulty. The premises of tho Diamond Merchants' Alliance, Piccadilly, have been the scene of a daring and extensive burglary. The robbers secured .£IO,OOO worth of jewellery. The house of Richardson, the well-known Surrey bowler, situate at Thames Ditton, Surrey, has been broken into by burglars. Richardson is at present in Australia with Stoddart's team.
