MR RHODES' RESIGNATION ACCEPTED. London, Jnne 27. The trial of Dr Jameson and party has been fixed for July 20th. The Standard asserts that the aocusedwill plead guilty if it is proved that the Foreign Enlistment Act applies to the districts raided. The directors of the South Africa. Char- ~ tered Co. have accepted the resignations of " Mr Cecil Rhodes and Messrs Beit and Harris of their positions as members of the Board and secretary respectively. At the same ' time they passed a resolution profoundly appreciating Mr Cecil Rhodes' services to the Empire, and one of thanks to Mr Beit for his renewed pledges to aasist in developing the territory. Mr Rhodes remains in Rhodesia.
