♦- ; WOOL AND SKIN SALES. ■ Mr G. R. VVylI/IK reports that at his sale oi , wool, skins, hides, and tallow, yeaterday,'he , offered a catalogue comprising 4 bales and i 30 packages wool, 1200 skins,. 210 Jiides, 15 • cusks and 25 packages tallow. The follow- ■ ing prices were realised : — Wool : Crutchings 3&d to 4d, fleeced 6d, pieces 3Jd to sd, dead [ s^d to 5Jd. Sheepskins : Hoggetts 4Jd to , 5Jd, sheepskins 4£d to 5Jd, greeu skins , 2s lOd to 3s sd, Salted 2s 2d to 3a lOd. Hides : Cow 2d to 2Jd, heifer 2id, ox 3d to ; 3.|d. Tallow : £14 10a a ton, odd packages 9a to lls 6d, [ Common, Shelton & Co. report -.—We , held our winter sale of wool, skins, hides, i aud tallow yesterday. In addition to our [ local buyers both Auckland and Napier were i represented, and, although a slight decline ; in value, good competition existed. Our i catalogue consisted of good stuff throughout, [ which realised values satisfactory to vendors. ; The following were tho prices realised : — Rough fleece 5Jd to 5.Jd, dead 5Jd to 5Jd, , bellies and pieces 4^d to sd, crutchings 3Jd ; to 3£-d, locks 2Jd to 3d, broken skins 3Jd, , sheep akinß 3d to 5Jd, sheep skins (green) 3s i 5d to 3s 9d, hides 2Jd to 3Jd, tallow (oddi ments) 13s, good 14s 6d, rough fat Id per lb. ; The New Zealand Loan and Mkroan- -, tile Aoenoy Co. report having held its I periodical wool and skin sale on 26th inst, j Napier, Auckland aßd local buyers were in attendance, aud bidding, in spite of the I adverse tone of the London market, was l spirited. Prices were a fraotion lower than I last sale. Wool : The offerings were ; principally crutchings, dead, and a few baleß i stragglers' wool. Sales were made as fol- > lows — Grutchings 3J<l to 3Jd, pieceß 4Jd . fleece s£d io 6^d. Sheepskins were well I competed for. 'Well woolled skins brought i up to ,5Jd, shorter lots at relative values. Green skins realised from 2s 6d to 3s Bd, . according to size. Hides : We sold a few light station hides at 2Jd.
