DR JAMESON'S RAID.
♦ London, J une 26. In answer to a question Mr Chamberlain i said he desired to divest the enquiry into Dr Jameson's raid of party character, and would consult the House in the hope of aecuring a unanimous agreement upon the form of the enquiry and the terms of reference. The Standard says it is expected that the Government will suggest a Koyal Oom- ' mission. Sir W. Harcourt objects to a t Joint Committee of both Houses.
