The following were the scores in England's second innings : — Abel, c substitute, b Jones 4 Grace, c Hill, b Trumble 27 Hayward, b Jones 13 Brown, c Kelly, b Eady 16 Stoddart, not out 30 Gunn, not out 13 Extras „ ... ... . 6 Total for six wickets 109 Jones took two wickets for 42 runß, Trumble one for 37, Eady one for 11, Giffen and Trott none for nine and four. AUSTRALIANS V. NOTTS. June 25. — The Australians began a match against Notts at Nottingham to-day. The home team iB :— Attewell, Flowers, Wright, Dixon, Bennell, Pyke, Gutheridge, Brown, Jones, Gunn, and Shrewsbury. Kelly, Donnan, and McKibbin are standing out of the visiting team. The weather is fine, but the wicket is heavy from recent rain. The attendance of the public is only moderate. At the luncheon adjournment Notts had lost three wickets for 113, those out being Shrewsbury 39, Jones 36, and Gunn 36.
