IN THE VALIDATION COURT Gisborne, In the application of Ropati Wahawaha, of Waiapu, Member of the Legislative Counoil of New Zealand, for the validation of a Conveyance in trust by the owners of Rotokautuku No. 1 Block, situate in the County Waiapu ; and, also, for the validation of a lease dated the 4th day of December, 1891, of the said laud of Marian Elizabeth Jackson, made in pursuance of the said Deed of Tru&t. A. I, Bopata Wahawaha, of Waiapu, in the County of Waiapu, Member of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, apply for the validation of a conveyance in tru3t of the Rotokautuku No. I Block, containing by admeasurement one thousand six hundred and twenty-two acres (1622 acres), situato in tho County of Waiapu. B. I desire to appear before the Validation Court at Gisborne on Monday, the 13th day of July, 1896, at the hour of ten o'clock in the forenoon, or at the first sitting of the Court thereafter. C. The nature of the transactions proposed for validation are — (1) A deed of conveyance in trußt, dated the 16th day of April, 1884, made between the whole of the Native owners of the Rotokautaku No. 1 Block of the one part, and HatiwiraHoukamau, Noha Kopuka, Mokena Romio, Paratone Ngata, Epiniha Tamatana, Hone te Kauru, Hare Mumu, Te Kani o Takirau, and Ropata Wahawaha, of the other part, as trustees. D. The land intended to be alienated by the said deeds is the Kotokautuku No. l Block aforesaid, containiug one thouaaud six hundred and twenty-two acres (1622), more or lees. E. The estate or interest which I seek to obtain through the aid of the Court is an estate in fee simple, subject to the trußts expressed in the said deed of trust. F. The manner in which I came to be invested with the title or rights which I now claim to hold, and the date of such title, is as follows : — (1) Deed of conveyance in trusb dated the 16th day of April, 1884, as herebefore set out. G. My address for service in the town of Gisborne is at the office of Messieurs Rees and Day, solicitors. H. I desire the estates oud interests of the persona who executed tho said deed of conveyance referred to in paragraph "C" hereof, bound by the decree of the Court, and for that purpose require. thut copies of this application shall be served on them or their representatives according to the list herewith. In the application of William John Brown, in the County of Cook, con tractor, for the validation of purchases made by the applicant in the Rakaikiteroa block, bituate in the county aforesaid. A. I, William John Brown, of Karaka aforesaid, contractor, apply under the provißions of the Native Lands (Validation of Titles) Act 1893 for the validation of two contracts for sale in the Rakaikiteroa block aforesaid, which said block originally contained 243 acres more or less. B. I desire to appear before the Validation Court on Monday, the 13th day of July, 1896, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, or at the first sitting of the Court thereafter. C. The nature of the transaction proposed for validation is a deed of conveyance dated the 9th day of January 1883, made by Epiha Parau and Waneto Warouri to the applicant in consideration of the sum of five pounds sterling (£5) p.iid to each of the vendors. D. The land which was intended to be alienated by the said deed was the undivided estates, shares, anil interests of the said vendors in tho Rakuikiteroa block aforesaid, which said block waa subdivided by the Native Lands Court on the 6th day of January 1896, and the shares of the said vendors wore allocated in that portion of the said block estimated to contain 17a 3r 19p more or less, then culled Rakaikiteroa No. . E. The estate or interest which I seek to obtaiu in the said land through tho aid of the Court is a freehold. F. Tho manner in whioh I came to be invested with the title or rights which I ! now claim to hold is through the deed of convoyanco aforesaid, G. Myuddioss for service in tho town of Gisborne is at tho office of Messrs Boca and Day, solicitors. H, I desire the estates and interests of the two vendors who executed the said deed of conveyance referred to in paragraph C heroof bound by tho decrocß of the Court, and for that purpose require copies of this application to be seived on them or their I representatives according to the list herewith.
