AUSTRALIANS V. YORKSHIRE. ' London, J une 16. ' As the weather showed signs of improvement during the day the match Yorkshire v. Australians was resumed, the home team, with seven wickets down for 96, continuing batting despite the fact that heavy showers fell, which caused interruptions of the game I at intervals. The attendance was good, but the soddened nature of tho wicket prevented any exhibition of cricket. The remainder of the home team made but a poor stand, and only 12 runs were added to yesterday's total when tho last wicket fell down, the not out man of yesterday, with 29 runs, carrying out bis bat for 3C. Jones was the most destructive bowler, securing seven wickets for 36, Trott one for 22. Giffen one for 36. In their second innings the Australians lost one wickot for 31 when stumps were drawn for the day. Darling was caught by Tunnicliffe off Wainwright for 21, and Graham was not out for 10. THE MATCH ABANDONED. June 17. — The continuous heavy rain hos rendered the wicket at Leeds completely unfit for further play, and the match has been abandoned.
