The Catholic Bazaar.

Tile Catholic bazaar in the City Eink was very well attended yesterday afternoon and evening. The hall up till 10 o'clock was kept continually thronged with ladies and gentlemen. Sales seemed to be very brisk, and a very good business was done in raffles, lucky bags, fish ponds, and the numerous other devices for alluring money out of the pockets of the patronising public. During the evening songs were acceptably rendered by Mrs Orv and Misses Buchanan and McQuirk. The management are to be congratulated on the completeness of the arrangements, and if the sales and other takings during this afternoon and evening are up to yesterday's standard the bazaar will be in every way a success. We may mention that the sum of £10 was taken yesterday at the door. This evening during the promenade concert Miss Young will sing '•Whisper and I Shall Hear," with cello obligato by the Very Rev. Father Lanihan. At the close of the bazaar all rallies at present in progress will be decided. For the convenience of those engaged in shops and others who cannot attend earlier, the plush quilt will not be thrown for until after ten o'clock. We have been requested to state that all goods unsold at the close of this evening will be submitted by public auction without reserve. The auction will be held at a time and place of which due notice will be given in our columns.
